Antique Brass Sewing Bird Circa 1853
SALE PENDING -
Antique brass sewing bird is completely original, including patina and it's tiny
pincushion. Bird is beautiful with deep designs in feathers and head. Clamp has
a clover shaped key which is turned to clamp onto chair arm or table. It is
marked on the wings patented FEB 15 1853. Beak holds fabric while sewing and
spring is in excellent condition. Bird measures 3 3/4 inches long by 5 3/8
inches tall. This item is from an old home in Carroll county Virginia.
